SENSO ActivBuds S-250 review:
The SENSO ActivBuds design is quite similar to SoundPeats Q9A headphones. The active buds come with an ear hook along with curved ear tips, which make it quite feasible to insert them in the ear canal. A flat cable connects both of the two earbuds while the control buttons are embedded over the right earbud.
(There is no remote control installed on the flat cable). The earphones are completely black, there is just a touch of red with the logo that is placed on the outside of the shells and the inside of the ear tips. The Senso logo is printed in white next to the brand logo.
The materials used for the design of the headphones are durable, but the Anker SoundBuds Curve use better quality materials. Anyway, the set is robust; they will resist falls and shocks. However, pay attention to the cables, do not hang it on objects. If it is damaged you will no longer have to throw the earphones in the trash. You can use the small plastic clip to attach the cable.
The headphones Bluetooth Senso ActivBuds are easy to transport. The ear hook design makes them less compact than conventional in-ear headphones, but you can fold them so that you can slip them into one of your pockets.
In our senso bluetooth headphones review, there is also a hard case for the protected during your travels. Once inside they will be protected against scratches and falls. The case is compact so it can fit in a jacket pocket.
SENSO ActivBuds S-250: Features and Design
The SENSO ActivBuds wireless earphones are equipped with thick and flexible ear hooks; the letters “L” and “R” printed help you to place them in the right direction. Once placed around your ears the hooks are not bothersome.
Moreover, to facilitate insertion into your ear canals, the ear tips are angled. They do not penetrate deep into your ears, you can wear the headphones for hours at a time, and there is no discomfort. For finding the accurate fit, we tried 3 different pairs of silicone tips, coming in different sizes (S / M / L). As I have medium sizes ear so the medium fit was good to me, but you can try other sizes according to your ear size.
Thanks to the ear hooks, the buds don’t fall off, even if you do some kind of intense workout or running. They will not fall from your ears, even when you are doing intense sports activities.
The good news is they are IPX7 certified. Thus making them rain and even sweat resistant. However, they are not completely water-resistant so you cannot use them while swimming.
The buttons to control your music are placed on the right earpiece. The buttons are simple but responsive. You will not face any trouble while using them. There is a multifunction button with which you can play and pause your music and answer/end your phone calls. You will also use this button to pair the headphones with your device.
Furthermore, On the upper part of the right earpiece, there are the “+” and “-” buttons that you will use to change audio tracks and modify the volume power. The microphone built into the headphones is of poor quality. Even if you answer a phone call in a quiet environment, the voices will be muffled, they lack detail, and there are also extraneous noises.
Audio Performance and Quality
The battery life is good enough. We easily listened to the music for 8 hours, which in my opinion is enough of the workout sessions, walking, and running. A micro USB cable is used to recharge the buds. Recharging time is approximately 1-2 hours.
Also, Bluetooth technology is used in the headphones for connecting with your Smartphone or audio players. They give standard wireless headphones distance i.e., 10 meters from your exact source. On the downside there was no NFC chip, you cannot have multiple connectivities. Moreover, the sound doesn’t run coordinated if you want to utilize those while video games or watching a movie.
The SENSO ActivBuds are closed type headphones. The SENSO ActivBuds S-250 bass is deep and powerful, they are too pronounced since they stifle the rendering of other frequencies. The mids are not clear, it is obvious in terms of voices, and treble lacks detail. At the same time, we cannot expect anything extraordinary considering the sale price of the headphones.
It is rare, even improbable, to find a precise and balanced sound rendering on low-end sports headphones.
The S-250 is not equipped with an ANC system (active noise reduction), so they passively block ambient noise. They fit in your ear canals make the difference.
For us, the insulation was not optimal. If you use the headphones in a noisy place, you will need to turn up the volume to try to cover the surrounding noise. Even if you turn up the volume, you will not disturb the people around you, as there is not much sound leakage. This is the advantage of a closed design.
SENSO ActivBuds S-250 headphones are doing their jobs very well. The materials used for their designs are truthful. You can use them for sports (they resist sweating). Once in place in your ear canals, they are comfortable and stay in place. By cons do not be demanding on the sound side. The sound rendering is not their strong point.
